take another look at your rugby polo
Baby it’s cold outside lately, so I’ve been working some weird deals trying to keep warm while still looking fashionable here in the city by the bay. My latest experiment that I’ve been getting pretty into is using my old school Rugby long sleeve polo in various utilities of layers. Not unlike the picture above, I took a light grey striped polo and paired it with a white button up underneath and a grey knit tie. With my black H&M skinny suit the look was both casual and evening – perfect for the charity event cocktail party I was going to. A couple days later I rocked the same ensemble changing out my black plants for black jeans, and losing the tie and jacket. Rugby shirts are solid, durable and cool and make for a fantastic go anywhere option. Where a short sleeve version in a blue stripe like the one below and pair it with a waffle tee in a complimenting blue or green hue for a cool casual and almost fraternal feel. It’s so throwback it’s new again. The best part? It’s comfortable too!
And in case you aren’t convinced that Rugby is hot – scroll all the way to the bottom for a little treat ;).
