my love is your love

remembering an icon

It’s really hard to believe that Whitney Houston is gone. She was so much more than a singer or an actress or even a celebrity. Whitney was an icon and someone that we all grew up with, rooted for and worried over. She had a talent that was truly unmatched by anyone in her time, and had some serious challenges that many are speculating eventually took her life. It really is an American tragedy. Rather than dwell on the tragic I’ve decided to put together a collection of pictures from Whitney’s better days – as a style star working the red carpets, award shows and television apearances that helped engrain her into pop culture stardom. I for one will always remember jumping up and down on my parents couch dancing to my love is your love and gathering around the tv with the whole family when MTV released her “I will always love you” video. Whitney was a queen who will be sorely missed.
