I started wearing leather gloves on colder days about 6 or 7 years ago when I had to walk about a mile and a half to work during the frigid Sacramento winters. What I found was that not only did my cashmere lined gloves keep me warm, but their black leather exterior added a certain polish to my suited look that I found myself looking for unlined gloves for the non-winter months. Now living in San Francisco, my gloves protect me from the nastiness of the muni if not the cold bay breeze – and garner attention from people on almost a daily basis. It’s a good sophisticated look that gives a nod to the classic styles of our Grandparents and Great Grand Parents. Sure, gloves can get expensive, but it’s a simple luxury that I think you will definitelly grow to appreciate. Some options below.
Some dude on the streets of SF – obviously got the glove memo. Cool look!
