machine gun chic?

I’ve gotta give props to one of my favorite blogs www.joshspear.com for tipping me off to this really remarkable new company called Fonderie47. As anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock for the last 20 years knows, there is an overabundance and a ridiculous amount of access to semi and automatic weapons in Africa (and a lot of other places too – including the US). The result is a world that is increasingly dangerous and volatile. What Fonderie47 does is purchase or retrieve these weapons within Africa, melts them down or repurposes them and then created incredibly beautiful pieces of art and jewelry. Buy a pair of cufflinks like the ones below and enjoy the assurance of having taken one hundred assault riffles off the market. Earings? Five Hundred! It’s really pretty incredible. As with anything – a nice idea means nothing without also being marketably beautiful and of great quality. Take a look at the pictures below. The product is astonishingly fabulous. Get yours and more info about Fonderie47 HERE.
