So it’s been raining a lot lately. Fine and good – we need rain, the farmers are happy, blah blah – I’m still not a happy camper about this. My hair is always wet, my suit gets weird rain spots on it by the time I get to work and don’t even get me started on the condition of my shoes – rain is just a wardrobe nightmare. Truly, even a nice overcoat doesn’t quite do the trick in a good down pour.
What you need when mother nature gets pissed is a Bear Grills style mountain man overcoat that can withstand rain, sleet or snow at volumes that only seem appropriate for cable television. The problem with these technical type articles of clothing is that they are generally bulky, nerdy, ridiculously bright and shiny, and just all together fug. As your trusty friend in fashion – I have done the dirty work and found some key weather fighting overcoats that will help us all through this crappy rain without looking like a bunch of wet dogs by the time we get to where we’re going. Some of these are so cool that I for one will be tempted to keep them on, long after the weather subsides.
