I buy my vintage new

and so should you

I feel like a bad friend. I realized the other day when a reader wrote in asking where to find the vintage levi’s gear I am always referencing/wearing (they are my faves) that I have never explained in fullness what “vintage” I’m talking about. While I’d like to tell you that my wardrobe is full of bargain finds from old warehouses and flee markets, the truth is that I find my coveted old Levi’s gear from a not so old source – Levi’s Vintage Clothing.

LVC is a sub brand of the big daddy retailer we have all grown up with. They are dedicated to producing clothing for men and women that truly embody the American Work wear that their iconic company became famous for. The fits are true to the times – made for men and women who work and work hard. The clothing is significant, tough and stylish. The best part, while it’s super trendy now to look like an 1870 blacksmith, it will always be trendy to be rocking these classic styles. Quality never goes out of style.

LVC is not sold on Levis.com but at specific retailers as a high end offering. I’m lucky enough to have several local boutiques that carry the line including Union Made and the Levi’s store in Union Square. No matter where you live, you can find what your looking for at Mrporter, Saturdays or Revolve, or by checking the stockist list. So there you have it, my little secret is out. New vintage is so much sexier than vintage vintage.
