There’s a trend brewing and it’s not for your dad’s and granddads. Bright brogue style shoes are hitting the streets and collections of virtually every respected men’s shoe design house. They aren’t meant to be worn to work or church necessarily – unless of course you go to that kind of church or job. Where they belong in the repetoir of working class man is as the exclamation point at the end of an otherwise understated casual look. Rock these classic shoes with a monochromatic look (i.e black on black, blue on blue, grey on grey). Don’t over think things, and please, PLEASE do not match the shoes to anything else in your outfit. Matchy matchy just wont do. Other than these simple points, I think this is a look definitely worth trying. A few suggestions of where to find them below. Have fun having a little fun people – life’s too short for black and brown.
(above shoes are Esquivel – $950.00 womens. Hint – a mens 9 is a womens 11. Don’t be afraid to where a lady shoe – if it’s cool – its cool.)
Florsheim by Duckie Brown in White High top. So dope. Roll your cuff and enjoy the compliments.
Green soles under navy suede by the ultra cool Walk-Over.
Yellow Brogues by Duckie Brown. Do NOT where anything else of color – and you can pull this off.
Fred by Grenson – 200 Pounds. SO awesome and the least – “Crazy” of the bunch.
