The trend in athletic footwear has evolved over the years. From the early 80’s boom of elaborate basketball and running shoes boasting super support and ultra comfort (think converse pumps and Nike Dunks), to the lighter is better focused footwear of today – offering little more than a glove for your foot and a little heat formed rubber for the road (a la Vibram and five fingers) – sport footwear has long been about augmenting the anatomy we already have.
Under armor took a step back in creating their latest release the Charge RC – and considered some attributes of species outside of our own, for some superhuman help. The result is a water-wicking, extraordinarily breathable, light weight shoe with a carbon plate imbedded in the sole for better speed and propulsion.
