I came across this fun little find while trolling the internet for cool japanese sneakers. So they aren’t really japanese, they’re actually italian – but they are being sold as part of the relaunch of Gucci’s Tokyo store front. Creative director and designer Frida Giannini created 8 pairs in total to commemorate the event and they are being sold as special editions at the new location. What is cool about them is that they are so unlike Gucci in many ways taking fun leaps with leopard and spikes, stripes and contrasting leather. Pretty cool and fun and definitely refereshing to see one of the oldest kids on the fashion block giving a nod to street culture. Bravo.
