so much so that i’ll paint my nails in pistachio.

The hottest nail trend for Spring. Hands down– ahem, pun intended. I think I’ll be wearing this to the next formal event I go to… just to show that splash of spectacular. You know, like I’m dressed to the nines, but I’m going to turn up the funk just so things don’t get too stale.

I see it on young and old, this color. Variations of green are everywhere, but pistachio seems to bode well on just about every skin tone. I particularly like it against blacks or forest greens and really bold colors in yellow or red.

Colorblocking is sticking around for a while. In fact, it’s everywhere. Milan, Paris, New York, San Francisco… Sacramento . I love color, but sometimes I feel a bit indecisive and this trend allows you to incorporate as many as you’d like!

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say more is more… oh wait, that’s not the first time I’ve said it and those of you who know me also know that I am a firm believer in actually wearing the pieces that you love. What is the point of buying amazing, high fashion anything if you can’t flaunt it regularly and proudly?

I like to pile everything on. It makes me feel stronger and fiercer. Perhaps that is why this newest trend of wearing a ring on every finger has me intrigued. This trend justifies my opulent and gluttonous affection for the bling. So I say, go on and make it a ring for every finger day.

I came across these really cool home spun cufflinks at www.paintedcoins.com of all places. The company meticulously takes every type of coin you can think of and ads dimmension and color to them creating a really unique and beautiful piece. What I thought was a particularly cool idea was their heritage collection. Pictured below are options from Portugal, Italy and the US. It’s a fun way to wear a little home town pride on your sleave without literally rocking the flag across your chest. For those of us who must wear suits every day I think this is a fun way to mix things up.

This is why I love editorial fashion and in particular photographer Mario Testino. You’ve got two of the most beautiful women in the world. I’m not talking pretty girls, or even model girls, I’m talking Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes – real life super hero, stomp your heart out with seven inch stiletto glamazons. V magazine approaches you to do a photo shoot with them in their March Spring style issue. What should you do? Naturally you should put them in a death match.
